What's in A Name?

Someone asked me about my name--Eladrienne--recently...

It is not Elvish or French or anything like that, although I can understand those assumptions. Most people in SL shorten it by calling me "Ela" and only one person gets to call me "Ellie." I am "Miss Laval" to most of you anyway, unless you really know me.

"Elle"= RL nickname (and the nickname that I use in SL as well)
"Adrienne"= RL middle name

Elle + Adrienne = Eladrienne

So there you have it.

Not to mention the surname :)

Laval still lives ina large company's name, Alfa Laval. The founder, Gustaf De Laval, invented the first continuous separator in 1879.

When I was at Westminster Abbey, I saw a memorial for "Susannah, Baroness Delaval"...

Oooo, and I've loved your name since first discovering your blog. Nice to know it's origin now.
