An Investiture

During my busy day yesterday, I popped through to the Duke of Murdann's lovely Wyre sim where festivities were going on celebrating the investiture of the new Marchioness of Giggleford, Lady Soliel Snook... Of course there was dancing!

Dark Victorian Show

Today was the big Dark Victorian "Dark City" show, featuring Victorian designs of a more gothic feel...I was nervous to be on the runway, but here I am in my new "Godey Nightfall". I have also made the Lola Midnight available as a RFL item, so if you see it in a vendor, its purchase proceed goes towards RFL...
Lady Patty and Puck enjoy the show...
Bastchild & Lapointe (designs below) were the featured designers, but there were also great pieces from Lapin Paris, Fuschia Begonia, Terry Lightfoot and yours truly!
Afterwards, we danced in Dame Lapin's lovely build as Dia spun goth tunes. Yes, I'm the one in the mourning veil...

Mayfair's Library Park

While strolling through my neighborhood in Mayfair, I was tickled by its lovely park created by the Caledon Library and settled in comfortably by the tree...Soon I was joined by Capt Paravane and Mr Alisdair Westland, a new visitor to Caledon and an interesting fellow. If you are in Mayfair, do stop by the park for a bit of peace with a good book...

Barristers Connolly, Laval & Pearse

Lord Primbroke got involved in a great discussion that Zoe and I were having about the latest lab declaration. While we do not believe that we aethernet journalers will be affected (hopefully), the policies are rather annoying just the same. As you can see, we are all dressed in our lawyer outfits (Lord Primbroke's barrister robes had not rezzed yet). I do believe that a law offices of Connolly & Laval advertisement would be run a bit like this:

"Are you worried that your 2nd Lyfe needs brand protection? Have questions about the latest "comply or cry" policies? We also handle tp crash and lag-related accident settlements, as well as damages related to inventory losses. The virtual world can be a confusing place and we can help YOU today...Contact Laval & Connolly LLP now! We'll get the job done!"

Of Sims New & Old

I finally made it to Caledon Glengarry, which is a lovely sweet sim...Which made Mr Enoch decide to show me and Dia his marshmallow man, and upon crossing over into Caledon II, Miss Rothschild saw him and mentioned something about sweetness and needing a fork...
Mr Enoch had a bit of a citizen upon citizen griefing incident happen to him that I shall not go more into in here except to say that we were both very angry afterwards given that it was another Caledonian. Upon crossing over into Caledon I right afterwards, we started talking to Puck.
And Puck's wicker man was set afire as Deep One me and tiny CthulhuPuck watched...
After all of that excitement I was glad for coffee, cookies and a leaf chair in Port Caledon with Dia...Never a dull moment if you're with me!

SteamSkyCity Egg Hunt

I am godawful at finding those rare flowers, but I enjoy participating in the hunts anyway, and the one held over the weekend at SteamSkyCity was a fun way to explore the sim (What IS the inky black? Where does that door lead to?)!Merchants left eggs all over, some clearly so, and others quite cleverly disguised...
And during the hunt, I discovered hidden places I hadn't known about. At one point, I sat chatting with Mr D.Hax as I took a break. Kudos to the organizers and residents for a fun hunt!

Dancing, Dates, and Delight

I walked down the street from my Regency home to Miss Hirvi's park, where she was debuting Miss Maar Auer's minuet danceballs. They were quite well-done, and it was fun seeing all of us doing this...I'm sure we will be seeing them at future Caledon get-togethers...
After stopping through to congratulate Mr Smashcan on the opening of his new Norseman pub in Cape Wrath, Phin and I then went to the future 1950s-themed Team Caledon RFL Ladies Auction, where he ended up being the big bidder on me! The auction itself raised over $L328,000! Thank you all so much for coming out and participating!
A new friend, in exchange for a kindness of mine, gifted me with this gorgeous Friesian horse. The realistic look of this horse is incredible. I hope she will come out with a sidesaddle version, but it is still a work in progress by the maker and doesn't ride as well as my AKK and Tombolas (yet). But you know what they say about gift horses, so thank you very much sir!

Giant Santa Nix

While in my Regency apartment working on my new dress for the upcoming Dark Victoria fashion show on the 29th, I did a double take as I looked out of the window. A 6-story Santa Nix was roaming the streets. I slowly backed away from the window, drew the curtains and continued as before. Well, it wasn't like he was on a rampage or anything...

Here's Your Chance Gents!!!

Those are my eyes looking back at you from Team Caledon's SL Relay for Life Ladies Auction posters and the cover of Caledon's booklet filled with stories of those in our nation affected by cancer. I found that trying to summarize my experiences over this past year for it to be one of the hardest things I've ever written, and I am a writer in RL! This Saturday is the Ladies Auction, a chance for you gents out there to have an uninterrupted, exciting outing with a notable Caledonian woman of your choice, including me! It will be this Saturday, March 22, from 2-5 SLT. You can click one of the main posters inworld to find out who all of us are, so I'll tell you what we could do if you bid on me!

- Have a E.Laval Haberdasher waistcoat named after you. Not only do you get to model it and have it as a gift, but it will be offered as E.Laval's RFL donation item- A Wynx tiny AV of your choice and a chance for a highflying adventure as a passenger with the Royal Caledon Air Force's Screamin' Tinies Squadron Leader herself!
- A spin around the Firth in the infamous "Suicide" Runner boat...
- Dancing, wine and great conversation under the stars in my meadow. If you haven't seen it yet, you won't forget it!I can also give you a tour of some of the "secret" places of Caledon or we could do something else of your choosing!

Last year, I was a member of Caledon's SL Relay for Life team to benefit the American Cancer Society and under the captainship of the now Dame Lapin Paris, Team Caledon raised more than $L 1,000,000. It was a moving experience for me to have been a part of that. This year's goal for Caledon's final total is $L 3,000,000. I am actually formally part of Team Elizabeth Blackwell, under the captainship of the Duke of Murdann, but will be helping Caledon to reach its goal in whatever way is asked of me!

Please remember when you are participating or giving, that it's not about the events, but the people that you can truly help by contributing to research to help end this disease...

Tinies, Grey People and Sweets

Miss Discovolante and I answered a request on main chat by Miss Vandeverre to introduce a friend of hers to a few tinies. I wore my Gun Bunnies uniform, as we are the most well-known representatives of the tiny community in Caledon...I stopped through Sir Zen's Rez Day party to wish him a good one. I do love the "grey person" phenomena that has been rather dogging me as of late...
...And sweets at the Steelhead town meeting in the forms of Dia, Miss Myfanwy Davies and Miss Kara Timtam.

RCAF Screamin' Tinies Uniform!

After a certain Air Chief (by the name of Messmer) said he wanted one way too many times, I sat down and created the tiny version of the RCAF uniform. It will be distributed to all members of the Screamin' Tinies squadron and made available to those who would like one...I thought I'd test Mr Denver Hax's Boojum Bomber, which has beautiful textures...
I took it for a few laps around the Firth. It handled sim crossings beautifully, was very (almost too) responsive, and...
Was the first tiny aeroplane (airships aside) that I've actually managed to land on the runway! I will test its TCS and bombing capabilities another time...

St Patrick's Day Revelries...

First, I stopped by my friend Mr Skusting Dagger's Grand Re-Opening party at Ruby's Pub in Babbage. Congrats to him, Miss Capalini and Sir ArthurConan Doyle, as I'm sure it will be a much-loved gathering spot! After the contests were decided we all got on stage with the musicians to jig...
And I stopped by the Steelhead Saloon for a moment. You would think it was a SLunday for all of the rezzing issues I was having today...
Which rendered everyone present at Mr Hassanov's birthday party at Miss Zymurgy's in Regency a very lovely shade of putty grey...

One of Us...One of Us...

Mr Kwerbleburb Knelstrom and I met at the Tangle party. He is normally a relatively tall black rabbit furry and wondered what it was like to be a tiny. I loaned him my tiny black bunny AV to see and he loved it so much that he not only bought his own AV, but bought one of my tiny Vic gent's outfits to wear with it. I recommended the "Tiny Gryffin" for him as he has gold in his eyes. As Lord likes to say, "Once you go tiny..."

Happy Anniversary Caledon Tanglewood!

Caledon Tanglewood is the heart of Caledon in a way, with its large trees and majestic forest feel. One of Caledon more "quirky" sims, there is always something special that makes you smile when you visit. Home to Caledon's "woodland creatures", Tanglewood turned one today...Mr & Mrs Mordecai & Kacy Scaggs hosted a party aboard their incredible Rakehell airship that hovers above the forest. The fae, furry and tiny all turned out to dance!
I could not help but wonder...what has happened to all of the tinies of Tangle? Didn't there used to be more? I am very often a tiny, but I don't really see others...
Either way, a knee-high critter such as myself was delighted by the spread, including tiny tea, wine and cake!
And I thought Miss Vandeverre looked lovely...
