Caledon Firth Anniversary Ball

Our hostess Dia, Her Grace Lady Whoopass herself, looked lovely in a medieval houppelande-inspired dress I made specifically for her in her colors... I twirled and swirled as DrBob and I danced...
An overview of the dance floor with the array of the Firth duchies' heraldic flags (and the Caledon naval flag) displayed...
And me dancing with Lunar, one of my absolute favorite dance partners, who attended as well as some of my other Steelhead neighbors...

Caledon Firth Anniversary Regatta!

A year ago the Caledon Firth's expanse of central water void sims were created. They have become very popular and used for the recreation of Caledon's citizens for both aviation and sailing. Today, in an event hosted by Dia, the new Duchess of Sound, many of us came to celebrate with a regatta! I donned my European-style sailor's outfit...And took my fast little sailboat for a spin around the Firth...
Upon our return, we also took to the sky as well and I accepted a ride from DrBob Margulies in his new balloon by Miss Ilsa Munroe...We all flew along the Southern coast of the Firth from one end to the other, turning around to attend the formal...
DrBob and I decided to take a more direct route upwards to the dance platform upon reaching Sound. That is Lionsgate in the background...

A Molten Surprise

Kheph brought me over to our shared shop in Steeltopia to see his most recent addition to it...the smelting pot from our tower. A part of me was tickled at the thought of its constant tip and flow over the heads of visitors until I then remembered that dying a rather painful melting death was probably not good.

You may now see it on the side of the shop...

Town Meeting

I slipped into the Steelhead town meeting and got comfortable in my usual seat on the end of the back row. As a community, I find Steelhead to be an interesting one. Its residents are quirky and genuinely nice, and the region itself is still small enough to have a true sense of community. It is a place that I think has now truly come into its own. Steelheaders are here because they love it. There's a cohesiveness here and its neighbors care about one another. It is home. I know this because it is mine too...

Back from the Country and Into Windlight

I came back from a relaxing week at my RL family's country home listening to songbirds and the breezes, rainbows and good conversation. Baube did not come, preferring to stay in the city and flit about socially and stating something about "her skin" while there. I gained a bit of clarity and perspective on both "lives" during my quiet time there I think.

I was rather excited upon my return as being inworld was about to look different thanks to an upgrade while I was gone. The first image I took was that of my Steelhead home, Laval Point...Then I looked at the water near my shop in Caledon Regency. My God, this is what I haven't been seeing for so long?? It's beautiful!
I rode Flashy through Caledon Windemere...
And saved what I wanted to see most for last--the Firth of Caledon...
Phin always said that the water was gorgeous and now I know. Of course, he had to take me sailing! What a fantastic day...

A Nice Evening on the Water

Phin is now the new owner of the NW corner Connolly Park parcel in Mayfair. It's a really lovely place to sit by the waters of the Firth and watch the sun go down...The gazebo, lighthouse and docks are open for visitors to use and it is a great place to sail from. We thought we'd celebrate under the stars with some of the wine from my vineyard. Newbe was ever so kind to help me with the bottling process...

Two Tiny Bunnies, One Big Adventure

I stood on top of the mountain at Steelhead Gardens admiring the view...Before hopping down...
As Lunar had just finished building Miss Katt's new home...That was a good enough cause for celebrating with an airship flight over the Firth of Caledon...
We also thought we'd explore the underwater builds at Argylle. Ooo...where does this tunnel lead?
To the mooring station! And still so much to see as there are new Caledon sims I have not yet visited! Oh, but you know that I shall!
