Canines, Feathers and Jager Tipping

Last night I was strolling through Steelhead and saw a large gathering in Port Harbor. I walked over and was delighted to see a gathering of dogs and their owners as Miss Tanarian Davies has opened a dog park for the Virtual Kennel Club...I heard a hunt was going on in Caledon Lionsgate for elusive anniversary Caledon pounds minted by the Vicereine. They were indeed hard to find as they were very very tiny...Later on, I put on my feathered Brazilian samba finery and headed over to the Ballroom for the Mardi Gras dance...I was involved in a bit of jager-tipping last night. Mr Munster went over quite easily. Bunny: 5, Jager: 1. Please do not tell the Sheriff! My rap sheet seems to be getting longer and longer...

Rivet Town Sim Closing in March

Steampunk Victorian sim owner Grace Loudon has announced that she will be closing Rivet Town at the end of March. It is always a shame to see a themed community leave like this and my best wishes to her and her citizens in the future.

Mayor Tenk of New Babbage Sworn In Today!

Forgive my greyed photographs as the lag got the best of me and many as we attended the inauguration of the new Mayor of New Babbage, officiated by Commodore O'Toole...[13:04] Hotspur Otoole: I (state your name)
[13:04] Mosseveno Tenk: I, Mosseveno Tenk
[13:06] Mosseveno Tenk: do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Great City of New Babbage against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
[13:06] Mosseveno Tenk: that I will bear true faith and allegieance to the same
[13:07] Mosseveno Tenk: that I take this obligation of Clockwinder freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion;
[13:08] Mosseveno Tenk: that I will keep her gears oiled, her mainsprings wound, and her steam engines stoked with coal,
[13:08] Mosseveno Tenk: and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of Clockwinder on which I am
[13:08] Mosseveno Tenk: So help me God.

And with those words, the Clockwinder Mayor of New Babbage was sworn in...
You were expecting a Bible, were you?Mayor Tenk then declared Mr Aeolus Cleanslate First Engineer and presented him with a ceremonial artifact of the city...

Under the Sea and Riding Trouts

Steelhead's Friday themed dance was under the sea, or in this case the waters near the docks. Miss CeAire DeCosta put together a slideshow to bring about awareness of how one could help endangered species such as manatees. Mermaids and mermen and those in underwater breathing apparatus had an enjoyable time...Later, I took my Tombola Riding Trout (of course it's a trout and you must buy it from her directly) out for a spin in Steelhead's water and stopped to chat with Miss Weezles and Miss Burton. What you can not see in this picture is that both of their hair glowed to pretty effect in the waters under Port Harbor...

E.Laval New Releases: Steelhead Sunrise & Tiny Steampunk Lady

One may have seen me wear this on my rez day recently, but I decided to go ahead and release Steelhead Sunrise for everyone to enjoy. Miss Riven Homewood, when it was mentioned in chat that I had made a Steelhead dress, asked if it was made of fish. Well, yes, actually. The pattern is scales in the lovely gradated colors of the skin of the Steelhead trout, which is also reflected in the texture of the corset waist. It is inspired by the Gardner worth, and comes with the corset waist, bodice, skirts, gloves, a golden-brown lace underskirt and bodice and dress frills...Now, I couldn't possibly release a Tiny Steampunk Gent ensemble without releasing a Tiny Steampunk Lady version to join in on the adventure! Both new outfits may be found at my shops in Caledon Regency, Steelhead City or via the aethernet at XStreet...

The February Grand Tour

It being Valentine's Day weekend, I was not inworld for most of the Grand Tour, which rotated through locations in the historic and themed community sims of Neufriedstadt, Caledon, Colonia Nova, Oneiros, Artis Natur, Wonderland Gardens, Giverny, New Babbage, Steeltopia, Alpine Meadow, ROMA, Raglan Shire, Nantucket, Edison and ending in Steelhead...I was able to make Steelhead's, whose Hotel & Ballroom looked as beautiful as the dancers swirling within it...

Steelhead Valentine's Dance

Only in Steelhead would a Valentine's Day dance have a Valentine's Day Massacre theme. Gun-toting mobsters and their molls were out in full-force. Oh my, is that a bathtub full of gin?

It is nice to sit and think......about the simple things that matter.

The Steelhead Woodchipper

The infamous woodchipper made an appearance last night in Steelhead City, with much side-splitting laughter ensuing. Those who weren't pulled through seemed to have imbibed a bit too much of the Tennessee whiskey. And this was before the riding ostriches and Mrs Peterman's short flight with a seagull. I can only imagine what Mr Tenk was thinking...

The Messmers Get A Bit Squirrelly

It helps to have a partner who rather enjoys being a tiny squirrel as well sometimes. I thought I'd whip up a "Tiny Steampunk Lady" outfit similar to the "Tiny Steampunk Gent" that Phin is wearing...
Which certainly makes attending events together as the ValenTinies Dance at the Prop Spinners Pub in Steam Sky City a lot of fun!

Muddy Monday

I arrived at the Gearz Club for Dia's weekly dance and looked up to see that Sheriff Fuzz had placed the sign I created for him. I do so like the rotating gears...
A good number of us came out to dance to Lady Whoopass' tunes...And some, like Miss Bellambi, Col. O'Toole, and Babbage's Mayor-Elect Tenk were game for a bit of mudwrestling fun instead!

Happy Dances Throughout My Rez Day

Today has been a fantastic Rez Day, especially as I got to share most of it with those dearest to me. I did stop through Lady Amber's Imbolc Ball in the Moors again this year to celebrate the coming of Spring with a bit of Morris dancing...
Puck Goodliffe came inworld just for me and I danced my happy dance around him and his raven Ingrid as his wicker man blazed in front of his Caledon I home. If you are ever there, take a look at his address on his meter...it is special and one of the most unique in all of Caledon...My darling partner Phin and I managed a tango or two. As you can see, I continued to wear flowers in my hair for the rest of the evening...And upon returning to Laval Point minutes before my Rez Day's end, I found that Lunar had just brought greenery and Spring to Steelhead! I am a woman who enjoys the simple pleasures our life inworld offers, so that was indeed a fantastic thing. This has been a wonderful Rez Day indeed! Thank you everyone!

Happy Rez Day to Me!

I turn two today on my Rez Day! I am doing a happy dance to the pretty mechanical egg music box that Lunar gave me from Miss Capalini's shop in Babbage. She makes such lovely things! Eds sent me a grand selection of all the cakes and goodies she has made for her patisserie so far. And my friend Mr Madcow Cosmos gave me a Doom Bell avatar. Also, I asked a friend to do something positive for herself for my rez day. She knows what I am talking about and I'm holding her to it! This is going to be a great day!
