E.Laval New Releases: Steelhead Sunrise & Tiny Steampunk Lady
One may have seen me wear this on my rez day recently, but I decided to go ahead and release Steelhead Sunrise for everyone to enjoy. Miss Riven Homewood, when it was mentioned in chat that I had made a Steelhead dress, asked if it was made of fish. Well, yes, actually. The pattern is scales in the lovely gradated colors of the skin of the Steelhead trout, which is also reflected in the texture of the corset waist. It is inspired by the Gardner worth, and comes with the corset waist, bodice, skirts, gloves, a golden-brown lace underskirt and bodice and dress frills...
Now, I couldn't possibly release a Tiny Steampunk Gent ensemble without releasing a Tiny Steampunk Lady version to join in on the adventure! Both new outfits may be found at my shops in Caledon Regency, Steelhead City or via the aethernet at XStreet...

Grand Tour: A Farewell to Coughton Court
The Grand Tour has been going on since the early morning (for me), but I wasn't able to go until Gabi's "Tulips in the Snow" Ball at her Coughton Court in Caledon Carntaigh. Here she is with Baron Wulfenbach...
I wore my 1891 Isabella Stewart Gardner Worth gown, which I specially created for my exhibit at the Caledon Library and will talk about at another time. I had a chance to dance with Sir JJ...
...and reminisce with my old friend, the original jager, Jagermeister Szondi--who reminded me that I was one of the very first members of the Jagerkin...
...and my wonderful Phin was able to join me, as this place is special to us as this is where we had our first dance over a year ago...
It was a bittersweet evening for Gabi, as this might be the very last ball to be held here. I have had a lot of fantastic and fun memories here and with her in this place. If anything, tonight reminded me how familiar and comforting places can be here inworld as well. A hug for you Gabi, and thank you for all of the wonderful times.

Grape Stomping and a Diplomat's Ball
I walked down the way from Laval Point in Steelhead Harborside to Miss Riven Homewood's new winery, where she was having a harvest festival dance...
I could not help but to stomp a few grapes myself...
Miss Homewood's lovely spread...
Afterwards, I managed to get the wine stains off of me and looked presentable for the formal Diplomat's Ball in Caledon Penzance, to celebrate not only Penzance's 1st anniversary, but the embassies of Steelhead andAdam ondi Ahman...
Afterwards, I walked down the way, untied my bustle and relaxed at my Penzance home. What a fun, busy evening! I could really use a cup of tea right now...

Snowflake Ball
The 2nd Snowflake Ball was held in Loch Avie. A dance card formal, I do enjoy these as it gives me a chance to meet and talk to gents I have not met before. You would be surprised about all the things you can chat about in 15 minutes! Lady Heron, while I felt swoony sometimes, you would be proud of me to know that I did not faint away!
Here I am dancing with one of my dearest friends, Puck Goodliffe...
I had a lovely time talking to Mr Hakonen, the owner of the Stephenson's Quarter steampunk area...
Capt. Ballinger told me how happy he is to be ending his wanderings and settling down in Cape Wrath...
And Mr Hassanov gracefully spun me while sporting a charming little rose in his top hat...

Snowflake Ball (cont.)
I also danced with my Steelhead neighbor Mr Timeless, and we discussed how much we are enjoying Harborside...
The always charming Mr Eclipse gracefully dips me...
And the Duke Regent Kintyre and I had a lovely chat...
I also had a chance to dance with Dr Mason, who does look rather dashing with his moustache...

Caledon-Winterfell Ball
Tonight was the Winterfell-Caledon Ball celebrating the joining of our two nations. I heard it had crashed the sim at its original Winterfell location, so it was relocated to Cape Wrath...
My escort for the evening was Prof. Messmer and thanks to RL and computer problems I arrived at the end of the 8th dance. Look at all the lovely gray people!
At least I had finished making my dress and I was happy with it. We indeed made the most of it and I enjoyed dancing with him...
Afterwards I put on a warm coat and we went skating in our finery at Steelhead...

Pre-Thanksgiving Ball
I arrived a bit late to the Pre-Thanksgiving Ball at Loch Avie hosted by Her Grace Loch Avie and the Baroness Bardhaven due to being at the Steelhead Military Ball earlier. I did get there in time for the last three dances of the evening! First, I danced with Mr Hax, who looked so dashing in his Lancers uniform!
I then danced with my neighbor and tiny partner-in-crime Lord Heron, who I am always glad to see out at these sort of events...
And finally, with the handsome Professor Messmer...
Whom I went to the Guvnah's Mansion afterwards to look at the plans for Morgaine with, as he will be building Cape Messmer/Messmer Rocket Labs there! The Guvnah himself appeared while we were there, concerned that the duchy of Middlesea went down...
He teleported us with him to Caledon On Sea to watch the Lindens at work trying to restore it. We were also joined by Mr Hax, Miss Callisto and Cap'n Trenton and had a very good time talking with the Guvnah. Middlesea issues aside, it was quite a treat to be able to chat with him for such a long time like that!

Bienvenue! An Evening in Versailles
Dia and I were acting as on-air presenter and host for the Versailles Ball tonight. We headed over early for a very nice fashion show of era-appropriate ensembles...
Everyone looked lovely in their panniered dresses and powdered wigs...
There was a Caledon contingent there that included us, the Duke of Murdann, Miss Picnic, and Col. O'Toole. The Duchess of Carntaigh, Col. Exrex Somme and his wife Miss Christiansen were also present.
It was definitely interesting to see how another historical sim conducts their RP. Versailles is definitely a beautiful place and worth a visit.

Season Opening Ball Dance Card
Tonight was the Early Birds Social Club's Ball, which acted as the opening ball of the Caledon season. I put on the new dress that I made and headed out to act as Radio Riel host, assisting DJ Lady Dia by announcing the dance changes and how to participate in a dance card formal. This took up the first part of my time there, but at least I was able to dance the rest of the night away with some wonderful gents once things were more settled...

RegencyFest Planning Meeting Gone Wild & New Boston
I can not believe I forgot to post this! Earlier this week, some members of the RegencyFest Planning Committee got together at Miss Connolly's (at left head of table) lighthouse to finalize plans (clockwise: Miss Connolly, Mr Knight, Lady Shaylee, Miss Schnabel, Lady Edwina, and myself).
After we did, Mr Knight treated us to his "special" AV and set out a tip jar...
...complete with disturbing "zombie baby" pole dancing...
Afterwards, I attended a black and white formal at the beautiful New Boston sim, where I danced with the Baron Wulfenbach...
...and Doctor Mason. It was a lovely time.
