Grand Tour: A Farewell to Coughton Court

The Grand Tour has been going on since the early morning (for me), but I wasn't able to go until Gabi's "Tulips in the Snow" Ball at her Coughton Court in Caledon Carntaigh. Here she is with Baron Wulfenbach...I wore my 1891 Isabella Stewart Gardner Worth gown, which I specially created for my exhibit at the Caledon Library and will talk about at another time. I had a chance to dance with Sir JJ...
...and reminisce with my old friend, the original jager, Jagermeister Szondi--who reminded me that I was one of the very first members of the Jagerkin...
...and my wonderful Phin was able to join me, as this place is special to us as this is where we had our first dance over a year ago... It was a bittersweet evening for Gabi, as this might be the very last ball to be held here. I have had a lot of fantastic and fun memories here and with her in this place. If anything, tonight reminded me how familiar and comforting places can be here inworld as well. A hug for you Gabi, and thank you for all of the wonderful times.

Snowflake Ball

The 2nd Snowflake Ball was held in Loch Avie. A dance card formal, I do enjoy these as it gives me a chance to meet and talk to gents I have not met before. You would be surprised about all the things you can chat about in 15 minutes! Lady Heron, while I felt swoony sometimes, you would be proud of me to know that I did not faint away! Here I am dancing with one of my dearest friends, Puck Goodliffe...I had a lovely time talking to Mr Hakonen, the owner of the Stephenson's Quarter steampunk area...
Capt. Ballinger told me how happy he is to be ending his wanderings and settling down in Cape Wrath...
And Mr Hassanov gracefully spun me while sporting a charming little rose in his top hat...

Snowflake Ball (cont.)

I also danced with my Steelhead neighbor Mr Timeless, and we discussed how much we are enjoying Harborside...The always charming Mr Eclipse gracefully dips me...
And the Duke Regent Kintyre and I had a lovely chat...
I also had a chance to dance with Dr Mason, who does look rather dashing with his moustache...

Season Opening Ball Dance Card

Tonight was the Early Birds Social Club's Ball, which acted as the opening ball of the Caledon season. I put on the new dress that I made and headed out to act as Radio Riel host, assisting DJ Lady Dia by announcing the dance changes and how to participate in a dance card formal. This took up the first part of my time there, but at least I was able to dance the rest of the night away with some wonderful gents once things were more settled...

At the Social Season Opening Ball...

Although I was watching the clock like a hawk for the dance changes, I still got a chance to twirl on the dance floor! I do enjoy the conversations I get to have during the 15-minute sets. I first danced with Mr. Jameson Despres, nephew of Mr. Woodget, and enjoyed his honest wittiness......and Mr. Sardonicus Jacobus, new to Caledon and this was his first dance card formal...
Debutante Miss Emmaline McCarey sent me an IM informing me that she had put me down for dance #8 with her father, Mr. Nigma Sterling, who was as absolutely charming as his flaming red hair they both share...
...the Duke Regent Kintyre...
...and my good friend Mr. Writer, looking handsome in his kilt.
Thank you for the dances gents! I had a lovely time!

House of the Rose Ball...

Tonight was a lovely ball thrown in Loch Avie by Her Grace, Eva Bellambi, in honor of its naming: "Taigh RĂ²is" (Gaelic for "House of the Rose"). I battled lag and crashing (twice, dash it!), but had a wonderful time dancing the night away with a lineup of quite handsome gentlemen!Mr. Writer, with whom I danced many times including a "replacement" dance, excitedly talking about travel, exploring Caledon and well...writing...
The always gracious and fun Jarl Otenth Padenborn, wearing his Orkney tartan...
The charming, handsome Sir Hotspur, who looked very dashing in his Lancers uniform. Edwina, get your smelling salts ready...
And Mr. Smashcan, who has just returned from a visit to Caledon's namesake country...
Thank you for the wonderful dances gentlemen! I had a lovely time chatting with you all!
