Lazy, Languid Afternoon and A Babbage Visit

I had the pleasure of having a wonderfully lazy, languid afternoon in the company of good friends at the Marchioness West Speirling Darkling's beautiful isle. With its views of the Firth and pleasant conversation, I was certainly glad to be there... Lady Dia and her beau Mr. Hax, Mr. Goodliffe, Sir Zen, and Lady Darkling and I were all settled comfortably on pillows. That is me perched on top of the fireplace looking out East over the waters. I thought I would try the voice client for the first time, at least to listen, and was treated to Zen's laughter and Dia and Darkling's lovely voices singing a medieval/Old English song in the round. Before I crashed, sigh, I had a really nice time and look forward to doing it again soon...
Afterwards, Mr. Goodliffe and I went to find a clockwork heart in Babbage and ran into Mayor Sprocket, Mr. Dagger, and Miss Rothschild. I am sorry that I can not remember the white fox gent who joined us as well. We spoke of steampunkery and Babbage's upcoming expansion. I must visit the villain store. Don't worry, I'll have my knife-pistol ready...
...and speaking of Babbage, my friend Miss Zoe Connolly was recently accused of being a Babbage spy!! This is something that has hurt her deeply, as it is a ridiculous accusation...especially given all of her efforts to bring the various Colonial District sims together! She is proudly Caledonian and one of our own...I believe she deserves an apology.

I've met Miss Connolly, and while she *is* a spy, I personally don't think she's a Babbage spy. The few times I've spoken to her she's always seemed kind and friendly, and imaginatively adventurous.

Unfortunately, the other people that I've met from Babbage seem to be habitual liars. Their latest attack on Caledon was a bit more brazen and stupid. If their orchestration of the werewolf assaults a couple of months ago wasn't bad enough, the've now started attacking Duchys in our waters. And the note of apology from their Mayor not only contains no actual apology--it does accuse one of our own Caledonians of lying!

There will be no war--I've heard that there's no profit in this one for the powers that be (sounds familiar, doesn't it--perhaps if Babbage had oil?), nor do I care for one.

Perhaps we should send an ambassador over there to straighten those people out.

Thank you Miss Laval and Mr Hax...

I've been involved in espionage for some time. But all in service to the neo-Victorian Steampunk nations, not against one another. My most recent mission was as a mole within the Antiquity Pirates Group for the Caledon Navy. Information was to be sent to Caledon Naval Intelligence who would then redirect the gathered information to representatives of the Antiquity Navy, further fostering a co-operative relationship.

Very welcome Spy Mistress C,

As one who is trained in espionage myself, I came out of self-imposed retirement when asked to be an officer of Miss Connolly's Steampunk Ladies Spy League--my services for all of the Colonial Districts and especially my home of Caledon.

We should all be working together within our nations, not working to create divisions among them...

Perhaps we should brainstorm on this and create a new organization...
