Regency is Open! Feel the Excitement!

I'm jumping for joy in front of my new land in Regency! The house is just a temporary example in place until everyone's chosen what they want. I love the brownstones--which I think give Regency a distinctive look--and will have one for my shops. I have a lot of water in my backyard and I'm not a nautical type. I will be building a little pier and putting an Orson Fowler-style round house on it. That will be my little home here in Caledon. Octagon (and the rarer round) houses were found in the U.S. East and Midwest in the 1850s -60s, inspired by Fowler's 1848 book The Octagon House, A Home for All. He believed that they were better for your health and residences, schools, tollhouses, and even...ahem...outhouses were created in this style. I can't wait to finish it.Regency is quite beautiful and everyone's buzzing about with excitement! Neighbors are running to and fro and visitors are stopping through to see. The Vicereine was going around making sure everyone was settling in well. My next door neighbor Lady Heron and I took a moment to chat with her and you can see the Caledon Regency hospital behind us. Dr. Mason must be so pleased to finally have a formal establishment! I headed over to the Radio Riel GenX with Gabi rave--or as Mr. Drinkwater informed us "rout" would have been a correct term--where new DJ Mr. Mokeev debuted. Oh come now...you knew how my night would end...
