All Roads Led to...

...a raven.

First, I called upon Mr. Goodliffe the other day in Caledon Prime and was absolutely enchanted with his Ingrid as we chatted about all manner of dark Victoriana (and how Caledon could use more of it).

Then, I chanced upon Sir Hotspur's recent journal entry featuring a reading of Poe's "The Raven."

I could not take it any longer...Mr. Goodliffe (thank you very much sir!) had given me a landmark to the petshop and now I have one of my own, which I have named "Pallas."

"...And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door; And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming, And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor; And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor Shall be lifted - nevermore!"

Wonderful, Miss! Ingrid and Pallas will certainly enjoy playing with each other - she gets so lonely sometimes.
