Everyone looked very pretty in their azure-colored finery...
We then went sailing on the firth on his yacht...
And we then tooled around the Northern sims in his steam-powered hydrofoil...

Some of us stayed on to play EnGarde and Eds finally convinced me to play. I actually had a good time although I barely knew what I was doing. She won the first match and I won the second. Not quite the hack and slash I usually like while fighting at the Grounds, but I had a really good time!
Here is the advertisement for the "Calais", inspired by one of my favorite artists James Tissot...
Still dressed from my shoot, I thought I'd stop by Mayfair to check on my shop like normal. I found my new neighbor across the tracks, Mr Bubba Daniels, there with his delightful hounds. I had called out greetings to Capt. Paravane as I passed the Chaiwallah tea house earlier and she came down the street to join us. There is something to be said about neighbors having a pleasant chat over the fence with one another...
And if not over the fence, taking the time to gather in places like one of our many pubs or even the Inkyboy Gallery in Regency to chat with neighbors and friends. The parlor is always open to anyone who'd like to sit and chat with one another, as I did with Dia and Gryffin later on that evening...
Started by rocking out at Lady Dia's excellent gig...
And then at Mr Tairov's good gig that picked up where Dia's ended. Thought I'd do Gun Bunny duty for the Guv and I was willing to bite an ankle or two if they didn't let him vacation for once...
I then danced with Sir Tele at Mr Dagger's part of the Ball...
How do I know there were a LOT of folks? A predominance of my not-so-favorite color...grey.
Duchess Gabi smoothly transitioned us into a formal ball, and I danced with my former Regency neighbor Mr Jamie Palisades...
Gryffin and I went to Dia's keep in Port Caledon and watched the beautiful Firth-wide fireworks at Lionsgate...
And the Sound...
And I ended it all dancing with Prof Messmer at Sir Zen's gig. Here's to our Guvnah and Caledon, Year Three! HUZZAH!!
She shared anecdotes such as how the rabbit came to be Caledon's symbol (a nickname for Des) and how the infamous Caledon undies she created were promotional items (note the model and they're available at Cymru for $0L today only!).
My former carnival court gargoyle Mr Glineux provided particle effects...
... and everyone had a great time dancing with the Guv, who really was upholding his "no work" holiday policy! I couldn't help but give him some catnip tea at one point...
Yawn! See you all later!
Miss Summer Gildea (below) came straight from the "Rez a Des" Guvnah impersonation contest held a bit earlier. I do believe Mr Volare won and his involved neko catnip (how perfect!). I could not stop laughing as I could only imagine all the faux Guvnahs in one place and I am indeed sorry to have missed it. I see "Des flash mobbing" in our future! He later announced in main Caledon chat that he will not be working on Caledon Independence Day Tuesday. I gasped in shock and reached for my smelling salts...Even the Guvnah needs a day off from time to time, don't you think?
I had shown him the DynaFleur exhibit and he showed me its earlier counterpart--the Flowerball exhibit --which I had been really disappointed all of this time about missing! I was delighted to find that it was still around at Princeton North and twirled within it! It was beautiful!
I've been busy with shopkeeping, but stopped through the Edison Ball at Loch Avie. Oh dear, everyone being an interesting shade of grey really must stop...
Afterwards, I stopped through the Mark Twain-themed Steelhead Friday night party...
And Mr G. Hax and I have been bustling around the Inkyboy Gallery prepping it for the Grand Opening New Orleans "Patina" exhibit party Sunday. I tp'd back upstairs from the basement and thought it was so very cute that my kitty Nefi was sitting there waiting for me...
On the panel, from left to right was Miss Ordinal Malaprop, Miss Soliel Snook, Cap'n Sin Trenton, and Dr. Oolon Sputnik...
Later, I jumped ahead in time and, wearing my 1920s satin dress that I made, I quietly paddled my canoe in the lush swamps of New Toulouse as the sun set. A beautiful sim and I am looking forward to its opening...
After I got over my "moment", I went to SSC. Beyond SteamSkyCity, I rarely visit the Southern sims. I realized, for instance, that I've never been to Greystoke or Nova Civis! After hitting my head at the pumping station, I thought I'd explore Aether Isle and found myself at the top of the mooring tower there. What a view! There's SSC...
And then Caledon itself spread before me. I have times where I think Caledon's one of the prettiest places on the grid, and this was one of them...
And even tiny bunny dancers need a gumbo break!
Also invited to speak was artist Miss Sysperia Poppy, who brought one her muses, Mr Cellside Unknown, along with her...
Later I was at Murdann with Duke Otenth looking at his cod drying racks when lo and behold a tornado struck! Debris, boats and cows were flying everywhere as the whirling mass went across the island!
Dressed in my tiny Raglan Mardi Gras finery, I got too close and was sucked up into the air!
After I somehow managed to safely land, we stood on the island along with Admiral Wind and Mr McCullough, watching it go out onto the water! Quite a harrowing experience!
While walking in Penzance with the Professor, we had a good time looking at the outside of Miss Orr's home. You must see this for yourself, as the little clever details will make you smile...
I put up a display of a gorgeous cavorite sample given to Cape Messmer by Horg Neurocam, creator of the Cavorite Mines in the Moors and the floating mountain in Morgaine. We had a lot of fun talking and I was tickled to finally meet Caledon's esteemed mineralogist...
