Pausing...and a Fish Fight

Mondays have traditionally always shopkeeping days for me, when I check inventory, rents, box items and create vendors, and create pieces, but I had to do everything on a Tuesday instead. Afterwards, I leaned on the railing of the mezzanine of my Caledon Regency shop and looked down over the floor below.

First, I thought, "I have really created a lot" and of that, I'm truly proud. Then, I looked over at the Inkyboy Gallery and thought, "I love Gryffin's work and that octopus is way too much fun."

I'll be releasing some new menswear and steampunk ensembles for the Fall. I love what I do and I'm lucky to be able to share it with everyone... Later, I checked on my shop in Steeltopia and went across the street to the Embassy of Steelhead. I ended up ducking under the stairs with my Tombola Steelhead "sword fish" fighting trout as Lunar and Miss Hilra got into a full-fledged parrot vs. fish gun fight. I'm sure that was quite some cleanup afterwards...

Pardon the Dust! E.Laval is Moving!

I wanted to downsize. Gryffin wanted to downsize. I didn't want the gallery build or the gallery itself to go away, so I came up with a solution. I have outgrown my shop, so I bought the rights to the Inkyboy Gallery parcel from him so that I may move my shop there instead. I know I'm biased, being its builder, but it's larger and lovely and closer to the hub and Gryffin will still be able to show his work. The Guvnah stopped by and switched it all over. Exciting!

A win-win situation for everyone...

New Inkyboy Gallery Regency Exhibit: "Burgeonesse"

As curator of the Inkyboy Gallery Caledon Regency located just off that sim's hub, I would like to announce Gryffin Hax's latest exhibit, just in time for Spring: "Burgeonesse"

Vibrant, lush color photographs examining the blossoming panopoly of the plant world, arisen from the fecund, chthonic earth...

Come for the artwork, stay for the absinthe.

Conversation with Friends

I joined Edwina, Dia & Gryffin for a chat in the Gallery in Regency. It's been a long time since we've all been in one place and it was nice to do so...

Patina Exhibit Opening Party

There's a lot going of with all of the Anniversary events and general weekend things, but for me the highlight today was the party at the Inkyboy Gallery Regency to celebrate the opening of Gryffin Hax's exhibit Patina. the music was jazz and blues with a New Orleans vibe in keeping with the photography...

I enjoy being the Gallery's curator and helping with the business and publicity aspects of it...that and keeping a certain artiste focused. It was a nice turnout and yes, Miss Connolly is dancing in underwater diving gear having come from a SL Bloggers party in Sailor's Cove... Miss Summer Gildea (below) came straight from the "Rez a Des" Guvnah impersonation contest held a bit earlier. I do believe Mr Volare won and his involved neko catnip (how perfect!). I could not stop laughing as I could only imagine all the faux Guvnahs in one place and I am indeed sorry to have missed it. I see "Des flash mobbing" in our future! He later announced in main Caledon chat that he will not be working on Caledon Independence Day Tuesday. I gasped in shock and reached for my smelling salts...Even the Guvnah needs a day off from time to time, don't you think?

On Architecture in Regency and Such...

Mr Sands stopped by to talk to us at the Inkyboy Gallery, which seems to be turning into the night owl deep discussion spot of choice lately! We talked about architecture (a favorite topic of mine) in Caledon as well as Regency's in general and how it has changed over the past few months
