Steelhead's own mad scientist (who blows things up and has plans for world domination) Miss Hilra inspired a night of dancing where they all came out, yours truly included...White lab coats--some blood-stained (or soaked!) abounded, as well as their...experiments...
I complimented the doctor on his costume. "Costume?" he replied. "Ohhh...ahem, I mean, uniform..." I said.
Afterwards, at the Bloodwing Foundation, he told Miss Emilly Orr and me the latest in the family saga. It made me think a lot about memories and a person and can they still feel for you what they did before, even if it's not the same body? And is that person still themselves if their memories are intact? What about their soul? It's a lot to wrap one's mind around in a spiritual/metaphysical sense...

At the time, and even now.
Still dizzies me a tad.
When one thinks...I never, really, dealt with Darien...first as Bloodwing, now as revealed clone of Jeremiah...was there ever a little boy named Darien? I begin to suspect not, that the clone came first, and Jeremiah, for his own dark reasons, simply raised him as a son...
It is just too much Miss Orr...
And I agree, I am beginning to wonder--was there ever truly a Darien? Even more to ponder and more questions to wonder about...
I wish I had known! I would surely have sent along my floating brain to see what such a renowned congregation of scientists would have made of it!
I did have a childhood. I remember it distinctly. And as you can imagine, even as a human he was not the best Father. When he brought Sumalee back from his safari, he was a changed man. He grew more distant than cruel...which to me was even worse...it was as if...
he was overcome by the Spark?
