Duchess Hit & Run!

I was standing in the skating pond when Gryffin appeared and offered me a ride on his flaming flying piano. Yes, that is me in the billowing skirts, as we flew over the Northern sims. We got as far as Wellsian before a "forced" landing...I suggested taking a ride in the mining car as I had not done so before. It operates itself, and does so at a breakneck speed! As I held on for dear life, I caught a glimpse of the Duchess Primverness walking a bit too close to the tracks on a curve. We heard a sickening thump and an "Aaiieeeee! The pain!!" as we whizzed by! Oh no! I believe we ran over the Duchess! I swear it was an accident! She was gone by the time we made a return trip and to my credit, I did send her cupcakes, hoping they would aid in her recuperation...
We continued wandering the Northern sims, exploring the new sims of Brigadoon and Cape Wrath. I always find the first houses in a sim very interesting, although we all know the new owners will take them down almost immediately...

I can't believe you ran over a Caledon Duchess.

You're supposed to report the news as it happens, not make it happen so you have something to report.

Yes, yes, I know. "Accident". Suuuuure.

Madam Laval,

I never had one of the Brigadoon houses on my parcel (although I have the Harbinger House safely tucked away for future use); I've got that little half-cleared spot with the pavilion on hilltop. I hope it will become a picnic spot for people wanting to observe the monthly marvel. :)

Oh yes, I saw the pavilion and thought it quite lovely! I am looking forward to seeing the "monthly marvels" there!

Baron Wulfenbach's trying to find time to come over to shore up the hanging edge with some Cavorite he's managed to obtain. That way we don't have to worry about rains and unstable slopes. :D

Frau Lowey might be able to help me with a table and chairs that can 'live' up there, and I'm trying to come up with a more... genteel manner to get up to the top, too.

I have to write to the Guvnah to see if he'll allow me and Madam Vandeverre to bridge our hilltops - we could create the Brigadoon Skywalk!

Miss Davies, I do believe that would be lovely indeed!
