Tonight the Consulate of Europa threw a Walpurgisnacht celebration in Kittiwick. The dark spirits were cavorting around a rather large bonfire...Miss Myfanwy Davies looked rather stunning upon her flaming otherworldly horse...
And me? I had a wonderful time dancing and talking in a whirl of demon's wings with Mr Eclipse, who was in his demon form--very different from his almost glowing normal moon elf. Thank you for the dance sir, I had a fantastic time!

A Gem for Tele
I received a message from Sir Tele asking if I could help create a little something for him...a gem token similar to one mentioned in the Lord of the Rings. There is a tale of Glorfindel and a bridge and I was more than happy to make it. When you touch it, it will give you a notecard about his home. I normally do not like sparkly things, but he wanted sparkly! Afterwards, I curled up on an end of his couch as we talked in front of the huge hearth fire. Of course, as soon as I got comfortable, the powers that be had other ideas and I crashed from inworld and was unable to return. I shall have to take him up on an offer to visit and chat again...
Boomtown Lands!
Seems to be a good time for new sims out of the oven!
Steelhead Boomtown landed today. If you are interested in it, contact TotalLunar Eclipse. Mountains and tunnels and dams, oh my!

Fresh Baked Sim! Caledon Downs Lands!
I heard that the newest sim, Caledon Downs, landed so I headed South to see for myself and there it was, just past Tamrannoch! There is nothing quite like a brand new sim, before the terraforming and parcel division and buildings! I rode my horse around for a while...
And how do Caledonians celebrate something like this? With an impromptu party of course!

Busy Sunday!!
The dogfighting over the Sound wore me out...a swing was the solution...And afterwards, I headed to Tanglewood for Dame Lapin's birthday party! Wore my best pink dress and had cupcakes and a bunneh hat! Life is good!

A Fort for the Cay
I had a chance to be given a quick tour of my dear friend Sir Tele's new home--or shall I say "fortress"--in the corner of the Cay. It is truly a home befitting a warrior such as he. He hopes to display a collection of art along the balcony that overlooks the great fire with its huge hearth and fire. It is a fine place, but the view overlooking the Firth is its most amazing attribute indeed...

New Inkyboy Gallery Regency Exhibit: "Burgeonesse"
As curator of the Inkyboy Gallery Caledon Regency located just off that sim's hub, I would like to announce Gryffin Hax's latest exhibit, just in time for Spring: "Burgeonesse"
Vibrant, lush color photographs examining the blossoming panopoly of the plant world, arisen from the fecund, chthonic earth...
Come for the artwork, stay for the absinthe.

Have Tiny Horse, Will Travel
I thought that perhaps I should take my pony Lila out for a ride. I am sure that if more folks had been out, seeing me galloping by as a tiny ferret would have been quite a sight. We ended our rather epic journey at Dark Lady Park in my beloved Mayfair, where someone had been kind enough to set out a horse trough with water!

Playing Catch-Up
I am constantly taking photographs to record my adventures while inworld, so I shall play a bit of catch-up as to my activities during the strike. First, I forgot to post this picture of Dia and me looking brave before dogfighting over the Sound last weekend. For those of you who have a tiny avatar and might enjoy flying, do contact me as it is quite enjoyable and stable even on bad laggy days...On the 15th, I joined the Duke of Murdann at his home in Murdann for a salon about freedom, what it means to us, and how we can overcome those obstacles that hold us back. We were joined by Miss Puchkina, Mr Epsilon and Mr Smashcan. Thank you Otenth, I had a lovely time...
This past weekend, the lag was atrocious so we pilots gathered at Dia's Loft pub in Steelhead instead for good conversation and drinks...

Back to "Normal"
I have put down my sign. LiLa has responded. It still sounds ambiguous, but it is still better than the nothing that they responded with before. *sigh*

Silence for Three Days
I shall join my aethernet journaling colleagues by letting "A Stroll Through Caledon" go silent for 3 days in protest of the trademark and branding policies of our world's creators. You can read more about the strike here...
I am in agreement with Miss Gwyneth Llewelyn and others that the policies are a bit unclear in that what we publish in our blogs is subject to all sorts of possible repercussions in terms of what we say about LiLa and its product. As a new resident, I learned so much from visiting related aethernet journals and even now, they are a good source of both entertainment and inworld news. We journalers helped and continue to help promote the product, but if we can't even use the product's name after all of this time of being encouraged to do so, then what are they trying to say? Who knows if they will take note, or even care, but I shall take my stance just the same.
But then again, seeing all of the other issues going on inworld, at this rate sometimes I wonder if there will be an inworld to continue blogging about?

Announcing Tiny Dogfights: May 3 & 4
As posted by Air Commander Zoe Connolly:
Officers of the Royal Caledon Air Force are planning two days of aerial combat fun during the first weekend of May 2008.
All participants will meet at the Connolly Aerodrome in Caledon Penzance at 10:00 AM SL time on Saturday May 3rd or Sunday May 4th (or both days if you prefer) for what may be the biggest air battle ever fought by tiny avatars!
All you need is a tiny plane with the Terra Combat System (TCS) and a tiny avatar. A tiny dog avatar would be perfect, but if you have your heart set on another, we'll be glad to see you in another tiny incarnation.
Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be a Caledon resident or pilot with the Royal Caledon Air Force. All we ask is that you join the RCAF group during the time of the event itself to facilitate communication in group chat during the events and use a tiny avatar and tiny plane during the dogfights. Tiny planes will be provided by RCAF Marshal Zoe Connolly. The Tiny Avatar you use is up to you. Once we start, air battles usually last 30 to 40 minutes.
Fair Skies!

The Barrow of Greystoke and Adventures Within
I held my lantern up at the entrance to the Greystoke barrow. It looked to be of Neolithic origin, but I could not be sure. I set my lantern down and prepared a torch to enter...A hole. I am always jumping into holes to unknown destinations...
I climbed a rope into another chamber. Where does this corridor lead?
This passage tomb complex is mutlilayered. It seems to have also been the site of the worship of many deity cults. Oh...dear...God...oh Dear God...What THE????? I found myself scrambling to exit, backtracking through the corridors and climbing ropes and ladders as fast as my feet and hands could carry me...
I leaned against the exit stones, out of breath and exhausted from my ordeal. I shall not tell the horrors that I saw within this journal entry. You must experience it for yourself...if you dare...

RL Cairns, Passage Tombs & Barrows
For some reason, the RL Elle has visited two different Neolithic-era passage tombs. These structures were believed to have been built around 3000 BC although their exact purposes are not known. Some were used as burial chambers and others for spiritual and astronomy purposes. While in Co. Meath, Ireland, I climbed quite a large "hill" to visit Cairn T of Loughcrew. This is a shot looking up once inside the chamber...This is a shot of its equinox stone. The sunlight will hit directly on this stone upon the fall equinox. You can go to Newgrange if you'd like to see the winter solstice version...
This is Cairn U. Like inside Cairn T and the more famous Newgrange, you will find spiral carvings and other markings...
A few months ago, I attended a friend's handfasting in Kent, England held here at the Coldrum Longbarrow, also a neolithic structure from the same time period as the Irish ones...

Conversation with Friends
I joined Edwina, Dia & Gryffin for a chat in the Gallery in Regency. It's been a long time since we've all been in one place and it was nice to do so...

Slightly OOC: Warren Ellis' "Aetheric Mechanics"
I enjoy the work of writer Warren Ellis (of Transmetropolitan fame), so the cover of his upcoming graphic novella Aetheric Mechanics (to be released in July) caught my eye. Mr Ellis spends time inworld actually, and many of his adventures may be read through his columns for the Reuters news wire. Although just ahead of our timeline as it is set in 1907, its back cover copy mentioning "strange metal planes" is intriguing and I look forward to reading it...

Air Commander Connolly--Tiny Flyer!
RCAF Air Commander Zoe Connolly decided to be tiny fox tonight and go flying...I personally love how agile tiny planes are...
That is her flying above me, and she enjoyed it so much that she has announced an upcoming tiny dogfight--in tiny dog AVs in the weeks ahead...
We both "hoooo'd" as she landed the plane. Way too much fun!

Ghost Elle Has Another Quiet Day
I have been so busy lately with the shops, so I thought I'd take another day to do nothing. I thought I'd be in "Ghost Elle" form..Stopped by Dia's Loft pub in Harborside...
And along with Zoe, chatted and had avatar and gestures fun...

Quiet Day at the Point
Given the rather unexpected and prolonged implosion of our grid inworld, I thought I'd do minor things once in. Clean up inventory and sit and enjoy my Steelhead Harborside home for a spell. My neighbor Miss Qinan recently bought Prof Messmer's former plot next to me and turned it into a lovely waterside garden...I thought I'd set out the good tea set and have a nice cup on my front lawn by the water...
And then kick up my feet and unwind by the fire. Truly a relaxing day indeed!

A Postcard from Darkmere
Dear Readers,
For some reason, I am missing photographs from my adventures this week, so I shall start anew with those from a recent trip to Darkmere. It had recently been part of a military engagement, but its Duke, Lord Lucifer Baphomet was not present, nor any of his minions or residents. He had once given an invitation to all Caledonians quite a while ago to come visit his fair lands (especially now that serf burnings were not taking place) on our forum. I will admit that I found it rather warm there..."Deep One" Puck had a bit of an unfortunate accident while investigating the skulls on a stick...
Having a wonderful time! Wish you were here!
