Racing Through Steelhead

From elephants to snails to steampunked wheelchairs, we all gathered in Steelhead Harborside for the Steelhead Wrangler Cup Race last night. Mr Daines had a bit of a mishap with his shopping cart...
We lined up at the starting gate, awaiting the countdown to race through three sims for the coveted Wrangler Cup! My tiny pony Yin and I galloped quickly through Steelhead along with the others...Afterwards, in the Harborside Commons, we waited for Doc Wrangler to tell us the race results...
Second place was Frau Lowey, but the winner of the First Annual Steelhead Wrangler Cup Horse Race was VelesJaeger Munster!
I'm sure that everyone had a great time and couldn't stop laughing like I was, so it was only fitting for everyone to have fun dancing after all of the craziness! It really was a lot of fun.

Who Is Really the "Varmint"?

I stopped by my home and found Mr Cato Quan in the front yard with his horse. He seemed to be trying to rid me of my bunny! After I explained that he was my pet and not a random "varmint", he went on his way. I hope this isn't retribution for his employer being on my Evil Genius/Villain Roster. I can't believe she is still angry about that.

Delicious Temptations at the Town Meeting

Even though Steelhead town meetings always have a great turnout, incentives were set out anyway: champagne, pizza, and just to tempt O'toole (who was unable to make it tonight)--pie, lots of pie. And of course you have to have a kitty on the table who needs to be nosy...Two of Steelhead's newest citizens, the Duke of Murdann and Miss Eugenia Burton joined us. Even most of the Mason family showed...
Steelhead Harborside is almost half-filled now, but there are still lots open! If you're interested--and it sohuld be a beautiful sim--do contact TotalLunar Eclipse for more information!

Thanksgiving Leftovers in Steelhead

The Steelhead Friday night dance had a Thanksgiving leftovers theme and we all turned out to the Hotel & Ballroom to dance and laugh...Mr Pinion and Ms Qinan came in matching Pilgrim ensembles...
Here I am dancing with Dr Mason, who became a bit overcome by the Spark towards the dance's end...eyes glazing over, an intense need to build...Oh my?
One of the entries in the "Create A Meal" contest...
But Steelhead's newest citizen, the Duke of Murdann, won it for arriving as his own form of leftovers--in pink Tupperware containers...
Afterwards I skated around and around and around in the frozen pond. Not really thinking...just gliding along...

The Great Printing Press Search

A newspaper needs a printing press so I was on the hunt for one. My travels led me to Deadwood 1876, which was very quiet. Although landing on a gallows platform in the middle of a tent city was a little disturbing, I found the main street quite empty. I suppose that was a good thing? The store I was there for did not carry it (they do now in their tent in Yankton), so I made my way to an antiques shop elsewhere for an appropriate one. And it works. I set it up in the Anvil office in the Hall (3rd floor, use the stairs!) and happily watched it cranking away!

A New Steelhead Town Hall (and a Chicken Too!)

I walked across to the Steelhead Gardens and Miss Elvejhem was putting the final touches on a frozen skating pond! I made her and Miss Weatherwax laugh as I did jumps, twirls, and tricks as I glided around...Steelhead's new town hall is complete! Hoooo! Mr Eclipse did a lovely job! It will house the medical clinic, Mr Eclipse, Miss Hilra, and Sheriff Ortega's offices, as well as the new jail. I am personally excited about having an office on the third floor for the Anvil...
Later that evening, we all attended our first town meeting in the new Hall. Poor Dr. Mason made the mistake of going away for a long time and was chickened...and fishbowled...and flaming cowed...
Many of us stopped to chat in the large main gallery afterwards. What a beautiful build it is!

Of Disco and Dinosaurs

The Duke of Murdann had a few friends over for dancing. Auntie Snook even made an appearance and was concerned that I would light my dress afire...Today was "Lost World" night, so Kokopelli Stage was redecorated according to the theme...
I made this Wilma Flintstone costume just before the party...
Many of my fellow cavemen and women made an appearance...
As did a few dinosaurs as well...

First Aethernet Issue of the Steelhead Anvil Newspaper!

I have been enjoying myself as the new editor and just released the first aethernet issue of the Steelhead Anvil today! HOOOO!!!!

I will set out dispensers for the notecard version after Mr Writer has completed scripting them for me. Many thanks to the citizens of Steelhead and Miss Eggberta Etchegaray, editor of the New Babbage Cog, for their advice and help in this new endeavor!

Quiet Night and I'm Alright

I had a quiet evening tonight sorting my inventory (wish me luck!) and chatting with friends before I attended the weekly Steelhead town meeting. I'll admit that I am always tickled at how well-attended these hilarious--yet informative--meetings are by its residents...

Big News in Steelhead

Went to the Steelhead town meeting tonight and two big things happened. First, the citizens decided upon the official flag...And the 3D map of the new Harborside project to the North was unveiled. If you're interested in land there, you can contact TotalLunar Eclipse. I think it is going to be beautiful and couldn't resist putting in for a spot myself...

Steelhead's Halloween Party!

Went to Steelhead's Halloween party last night as a tiny grim reaper and partied with Lord Albert Heron. Tiny jokes abounded, although why you would want to tease a bloody-fanged ferret with an ankle-level scythe is beyond me...Sheriff Ortega as himself and Miss Hilra, as well, the Sheriff. Her Grace Loch Avie was a little traumatized by Miss Krystyne Qinan's penguin, which won the ladies costume grand prize...
I personally loved Miss Picnic's zombiewolf. There was discussion of brain sushi at one point. O'Toole won runner-up for the men with his Frankenstein's monster costume...
Mr Eclipse as one of my favorite "Inuyasha" characters, Sesshomaru, which his hair has always made me think of anyway...
And Lord and Lady Primbroke, who won Men's Grand Prize and Ladies Runner-up respectively for their costumes...

Never a Dull Steelhead Moment

As the new editor of the Steelhead Anvil-Telegraph, I had a lot of notecards and meeting minutes to sift through to familiarize myself with everything. I got comfortable in the Gardens across the street as I went about my work...A red bloom in the Bay? No. I wish it was algae. That's lava. As in red hot, I do not want to fall into that, lava, yet the marine life was still leaping merrily within it. Oh my. Never a dull moment...

Steelhead Town Meeting

"My wife is...a dog," was all that Mr Eclipse could say upon seeing Ms Tensai Hilra, Steelhead's manager, reclined upon newspaper at the front during the town meeting. There are some interesting events coming up there. I'll keep you all posted...
