The Great Printing Press Search
A newspaper needs a printing press so I was on the hunt for one. My travels led me to Deadwood 1876, which was very quiet. Although landing on a gallows platform in the middle of a tent city was a little disturbing, I found the main street quite empty. I suppose that was a good thing?
The store I was there for did not carry it (they do now in their tent in Yankton), so I made my way to an antiques shop elsewhere for an appropriate one. And it works. I set it up in the Anvil office in the Hall (3rd floor, use the stairs!) and happily watched it cranking away!

Big News in Steelhead
Went to the Steelhead town meeting tonight and two big things happened. First, the citizens decided upon the official flag...
And the 3D map of the new Harborside project to the North was unveiled. If you're interested in land there, you can contact TotalLunar Eclipse. I think it is going to be beautiful and couldn't resist putting in for a spot myself...

Steelhead's Halloween Party!
Went to Steelhead's Halloween party last night as a tiny grim reaper and partied with Lord Albert Heron. Tiny jokes abounded, although why you would want to tease a bloody-fanged ferret with an ankle-level scythe is beyond me...
Sheriff Ortega as himself and Miss Hilra, as well, the Sheriff. Her Grace Loch Avie was a little traumatized by Miss Krystyne Qinan's penguin, which won the ladies costume grand prize...
I personally loved Miss Picnic's zombiewolf. There was discussion of brain sushi at one point. O'Toole won runner-up for the men with his Frankenstein's monster costume...
Mr Eclipse as one of my favorite "Inuyasha" characters, Sesshomaru, which his hair has always made me think of anyway...
And Lord and Lady Primbroke, who won Men's Grand Prize and Ladies Runner-up respectively for their costumes...

Never a Dull Steelhead Moment
As the new editor of the Steelhead Anvil-Telegraph, I had a lot of notecards and meeting minutes to sift through to familiarize myself with everything. I got comfortable in the Gardens across the street as I went about my work...
A red bloom in the Bay? No. I wish it was algae. That's lava. As in red hot, I do not want to fall into that, lava, yet the marine life was still leaping merrily within it. Oh my. Never a dull moment...

Steelhead Friday Dance: Wild West
Before SL did its wonderful-as-usual crashbang job on me tonight, I managed to make it over to Steelhead to their Wild West-themed dance. That's Sheriff Ortega up front moving to the beat as Quick Draw...
Here I am dancing salsa with Mr. Goodliffe. Muy caliente!
I loved the cactus AV in the center there! I "think" it was Miss Picnic?
Afterwards, I went to Miss Skye Qi's to pick up some dresses I had awaiting me as gifts from a special gent and upon tp'ing home became stuck. We are talking in-one-place-turning-in-circles-calling-SL-all-sorts-of-names stuck. Questioning my reasoning for SL existence stuck. Ticked off to no end stuck. I'm not going to even talk about the wonderful grid meltdown later.
It is really really bad off tonight.
