I went to Steelhead's "Thanksgiving Leftovers" dance as turkey bones...It looks like I ended up as soup stock...Hope you all had a great holiday!

A Masquerade...

The citizens of Steelhead danced with visages concealed, their identities unrevealed...
The Mysterious Lady stood to the side, watching the revelry as her fan fluttered in front of her gold-accented mask...Red Death asked her for a dance, dare she take a chance?
And then it came crashing down...

Steelhead's Post-Election Party

Tonight was Steelhead's Friday dance with a "Elephants & Donkeys Post-Election" theme. We came out and celebrated, and there was much wearing of blue and red, and yes...donkey and elephants were partying on the dance floor...
...and on magic flying flags too...Earlier, I met with Sir JJ to discuss the library exhibit more. I am very excited about it as it is shaping up to be an interesting one...

Snow Queens and Snow Whites

Tonight's dance in Steelhead's theme was in keep with the fairy tale festival, so we all came dressed as favorite fairy and folktale characters...Me? I came as Hans Christian Andersen's "Snow Queen". Behind me is artwork by Miss Katat0nic Pidgeon...

Doc Mason's Founder's Day Party

Tonight I donned my fancy toga, gold laurel wreath and golden sandals and went to Babbage Palisade to Doc Mason's Founder's Day birthday celebration, whose theme was the rather decadent Roman era. How appropriate given where it was held...

One Ring to Rule Them All...in Steelhead

I originally went to tonight's Lord of the Rings-themed dance in Steelhead tonight as the shieldmaiden Eowyn, but it seems I wasn't original, so I decided to be a Nazgul ring wraith instead...I wish I had gotten a better picture of Miss Hilra as the tempted Galadriel, but you a see a bit of her dancing with Mr Eclipse above. And there is Mr Eclipse looking very Saruman the White...

Beside the River Nile

The Duke of Greystoke held a hafla dance and get-together at his wonderful Egyptian build over Caledon Greystoke for RFL. Ululations rang out, there were shouts as brave explorers were chased by a mummy in the pyramid, and dancing--lots of dancing. I made a 1860s Egyptian dancer's outfit, complete with full "Turkish-style" pants. It will be for sale in the bazaar and at my shop.
Here I am joining the Duke at the hookah...
Mr Sands looking regal...
At one point the men decided to dance for us and we women took the drums...
The Duke impressing us with his sword balancing skills...I had a lot of fun. Do stop by and enjoy the sights yourself!

Good to Be Queen--Of Carnival!!!

I was hosting for Radio Riel at the Caledon Carnival party in Wellsian and threw on my Rio samba queen outfit. Little did I know the evening would turn into one of colorful costumes, an irreverent court gargoyle, and a drown'd King...This was not just a costume, it was an experience...I ate too much of the lovely king cake prepared by Miss Rothschild and somehow ended up with the baby, which made me Queen of Carnival!! Here I am with King Puck and our Court Gargoyle, Mr Glineux. There was something about the throne that was making me quite narcoleptic, although given my court members, I needed to be rather alert!
Everyone had fun doing the circle dance! In the background you can see the king cake to the left, and a great spread of spirits and foodstuffs. Crawfish, red beans and rice and seafood gumbo were prepared by Lady Primbroke for the occasion...
At one point, King Puck overindulged and somehow drowned himself. I poked him in the side with my foot. Definitely dead. All hail Queen Elle! He was later revived...dash it...For as long as Sir Tele and I have been friends I can't believe this is the first time that we have ever danced together!
I had a wonderful time being your queen! Laissez les bons temps rouler!!!

Party Bouncing

I started off at Miss Frequency's Rez Day party (see post above)...But made sure I went to party with my Steelhead neighbors at their sci-fi themed one! That's me dressed as Kodos from The Simpsons...
