An Interesting Evening

The other night I stood in the doorway of the lighthouse at Laval Point, the portraits of my (RL) great-great grandmother and aunts behind me, and wondered..."What shall I do?"
I sat with some tea by the water, but this was entirely too sedate for me!I decided to take the old airship out for a spin over Steelhead! Yes!Although, after dodging mountains and the Hotel & Ballroom Tower, I soon realized that a sedate evening knitting in front of the fire at the Messmer estate in Caledon Penzance with our kitty snoozing by my side wasn't a bad idea...

Quiet Afternoon in Laval Point

I love my little lighthouse at Laval Point. There's something to be said for curling up on the bed for an afternoon nap after a hot cup of tea and listening to the waves crashing against the rocks outside...*yawns*

Halloween Haunts In Winterfell & Steelhead

Halloween is easily my favorite holiday of the year. First, I popped through Port Novem in Winterfell...
Where I had a wee bit of poison...After stopping through Miss Underwood's well-attended encore reading for the Scary Stories Festival, I joined Miss Riven Homewood and a group of neighbors and visitors for the Steelhead Scary Homes Tour. Hanging noobs, sacrificial altars, HUGE spiders, fire everywhere...Miss Qinan and Mr Pinion really outdid themselves with their Mansion of Doom...
We visited Boomtown to see Mrs. Peterman's tower and Miss Underwood's home and cemetery. There was a surprise for us in one of the crypts...Over at Laval Point the group determined that there there had been quite a bit of blood shed and wondered where was Sheriff Fuzz? Of course, some wondered why I didn't share the rabbit stew... Tomorrow's costume dance will also announce the winner of the Steelhead's Spookiest Home. Be there...if you dare!

The Nation Grows

The Guvnah sent out a cryptic message on the main chat, giving only a hint of "something to do with cats." Of course, most of us assumed it had something to do with his "thing" for neko catgirls, but actually...it's an island! He created the Saint Kitt islands as Caledon's first Crown Colony, where those of us in the Caledon group can rez and build as he creates on a higher altitude above! Here I am with fellow Steelheaders Miss Hilra and Mr Eclipse, Baron Wulfenbach and Miss 713 Ayres...Afterwards, I went to Laval Point in Harborside for a moment. Mr Eclipse had recently landscaped the common area of the Point and I love to watch the waves crashing onto the rocks...

Congrats to You Eds!

A group of us gathered to congratulate Edwina on Hoy, her new void sim in Otenth's Wyre region...Along with Mr Jameson Despres of the Shapinsay sim on the other side, Wyre has expanded! Dia, Sir Zen, and later Mr Despres gathered for easy conversation and laughter on a hillside overlooking Wyre. I look forward to many get-togethers and much swooning!

A Fort for the Cay

I had a chance to be given a quick tour of my dear friend Sir Tele's new home--or shall I say "fortress"--in the corner of the Cay. It is truly a home befitting a warrior such as he. He hopes to display a collection of art along the balcony that overlooks the great fire with its huge hearth and fire. It is a fine place, but the view overlooking the Firth is its most amazing attribute indeed...

Quiet Day at the Point

Given the rather unexpected and prolonged implosion of our grid inworld, I thought I'd do minor things once in. Clean up inventory and sit and enjoy my Steelhead Harborside home for a spell. My neighbor Miss Qinan recently bought Prof Messmer's former plot next to me and turned it into a lovely waterside garden...I thought I'd set out the good tea set and have a nice cup on my front lawn by the water...
And then kick up my feet and unwind by the fire. Truly a relaxing day indeed!
